Women's Six Nations 2026: England vs Wales updates, scores, commentary from Ashton Gate

Graham to leave Spurs this summer

Kit Graham will leave Tottenham this summer upon the expiry of her contract.

The attacker has been at Spurs since their first WSL season in 2019/20, going on to make 91 appearances across all competitions.

Graham has spent the second half of this campaign on loan at WSL2 side Ipswich, making nine appearances to date and scoring twice.

Tottenham Women's Managing Director, Andy Rogers, said: "Kit leaves having made an incredible contribution to Tottenham Hotspur.

"She has delivered a consistent impact on the pitch, from our formative years in the WSL to our first FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium. Kit has been a fan favourite throughout her time here, and deservedly so.

"Through professionalism, resilience and kindness she has also pushed the standards off the pitch, setting an example for developing players and showing incredible strength and character to comeback twice from significant injury.

"Our staff and playing group will miss Kit, and she will have all of our best wishes and support in her next chapter."

Mainoo expected to sign new Man Utd contract

Latest from Your Site News' Rob Dorsett and Danyal Khan:

Kobbie Mainoo is expected to sign a new Manchester United contract until 2031.

Your Site News revealed in March that the midfielder was close to a full agreement over a new deal.

United want Mainoo's fresh terms to better reflect his progression and current status in the first team.

Mainoo's current deal was signed in 2023 when he was still 17.

Atletico do not want to sell 130m-rated Alvarez

Latest from Your Site News' Gary Cotterill and Lyall Thomas:

Atletico Madrid do not want to sell Julian Alvarez this summer amid interest from ArsenalBarcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Even if the forward asked to leave, Atletico value Alvarez at around 130m (150m) after signing him from Manchester City for 82m.

The Argentina international is focused on winning the Champions League with Atletico and then the World Cup with his country.

A source close to the situation has indicated Alvarezs preference if he were to leave Atletico would be joining Barcelona.

However, other sources in Spain have cast doubt on whether he has a preference at all given the unlikelihood of a transfer this summer.

The former Manchester City striker has had an outstanding season for Atletico, scoring 19 goals in all competitions so far.

His current head coach Diego Simeone revealed the interest of the three clubs in his news conference today ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg against Arsenal.

Arsenal interested in Atletico's Alvarez, confirms Simeone

Arsenal are interested in Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez but face competition to sign him from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, according to Diego Simeone.

The Atletico Madrid manager confirmed the interest at his press conference before the two sides meet in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg at Metropolitano Stadium.

"I'm not inside Julian Alvarez's head," he said when asked about reports linking him with the Gunners.

"I understand it's normal that an extraordinary player like Julian Alvarez is wanted by Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona.

"It's normal because he's very good."

Alvarez has scored 48 goals in 104 games for Atletico Madrid since his 82m move from Manchester City, where he won back-to-back Premier League titles and was part of the 2022/23 treble.

The 26-year-old is known to Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta, who oversaw his move to Atletico from the Etihad Stadium.

Barca keen on signing Rashford on loan again

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas, Rob Dorsett and Danyal Khan:

Barcelona are interested in a second season-long loan deal for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford

There is an option to buy him permanently, but financial circumstances at Barca mean they are reluctant to trigger it.

Your Site News has previously reported United have no intention to renegotiate the 26m fee agreed as part of the deal to loan Rashford.

Barcelona are therefore considering making another loan proposal when talks renew at the end of the season.

The Spanish club's interest in signing Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid is also likely to be a factor in their squad planning.

Rashford is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028.

Jose emerges as Perez's preferred choice to take over at Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho is the preferred candidate of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to take over as head coach this summer, according to The Athletic.

Temporary boss Alvaro Arbeloa's contract at Real Madrid runs out at the end of the season and Mourinho has emerged as a surprise contender for the job at his former club.

Currently in charge of Benfica, Mourinho reportedly has a 2.6m break clause in his contract with the Portuguese club, currently second in the league and seven points behind leaders Porto.

Mourinho does not enjoy universal support inside Real Madrid to return for a second spell, according to this report.

However, with Perez leading the process to find a long-term successor to Xabi Alonso, who was sacked earlier this season, Mourinho finds himself in a strong position, the report adds.

Mourinho spent three seasons in charge of Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, winning LaLiga and the Copa del Rey.

Catley signs new Arsenal deal

Steph Catley has signed a new contract with Arsenal.

The defender joined the club in July 2020, and has gone on to win the Champions League, two League Cups and the Champions Cup.

The Australia international was nominated for the Ballon d'Or in 2025 and has won the Australian PFA Womens Footballer of the Year award three times.

Cunha calls for 'one more year' of Casemiro

Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has called for "one more year" of Casemiro after his impressive display in a crucial 2-1 win over Brentford on Monday night.

Casemiro earned Player of the Match as United beat Brentford to edge closer to securing a Champions League spot.

The 34-year-old Brazilian international, who scored his side's opener on the night, is set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Speaking after the game, Carrick said, "It's still clear from both sides" that Casemiro would depart this summer, but his team-mate Cunha suggested he would prefer his compatriot to stay.

In a post on his Instagram story, Cunha posted "1 more year Casemiro" as he celebrated United's win over Brentford. Cunha missed the game due to injury.

Iraola, Silva and Alonso among candidates to replace Rosenior at Chelsea

Latest from Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol:

Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Xabi Alonso are among the managers Chelsea are discussing as potential replacements for Liam Rosenior this summer.

Chelsea believe there will be a bigger pool of high-calibre managers available this summer than there were last time they appointed a manager between seasons.

When Enzo Maresca got the job in June 2024, Kieran McKenna was the other candidate on their shortlist and neither manager had Premier League experience at the time.

Chelsea now want someone with Premier League experience and/or someone with a proven track record at a high level.

Iraola has said he is leaving Bournemouth this summer, Alonso is out of work and Silva's Fulham contract runs out in two months.

Chelsea are not in a rush to make an appointment and Calum McFarlane will remain in charge until the end of the season.
